You CAN do this!

You just need a bit of instruction and a cheering section. (Hint: you've just found both!)

How many hours and how many dollars have you wasted on trying to figure this out?

You don't really have to give me the numbers. I was there, and have a pretty good idea.
I thought if one more person sent me to YouTube, I was going to cry.
I just desperately wanted one place to go for real instruction!
Sound familiar?

If it does, then you are in the right place! This mini course came directly from those frustrations. I wanted to create a class  with clear, concise instruction that could get someone up and running with Silhouette quickly, and I designed the lessons so that you can learn and practice without spending another small fortune.

This class will get you crafting with your new machine in a matter of hours!

4 Lessons, 3 Materials, 2 Complete Projects, 1 Happy Crafter

Cardstock

The first video takes you through designing simple shapes and making your first successful cut.

Adhesive vinyl

In the second segment, we take a look at adding and customizing text. You'll also learn cut settings, and how to weed and apply the decal.

HTV

In the last tutorial, we focus on the trace feature in Silhouette Studio, then go over cut settings for heat transfer vinyl, and again go through weeding and application.

If you really do want to use your Silhouette to make ALL the things

(And I know you do!)

1. You could go back to YouTube and guess at keywords for a few more hours.
OR
2. You can spend the same amount of time making actual progress on this journey.

Hello!

I'm Brenda Lambert, a TJC licensed Silhouette instructor, former teaching assistant, and entrepreneur. I love crafting, and helping others bring their designs to life, so I merged the two together to create Silhouette Success.

I actually started out with Cricut, but was not thrilled with the software or the customer service. Making the switch proved to be painful, because EVERYTHING was different. Night and day, Apple and Android. I spent months watching tutorials with conflicting information, cried in the different social media groups, read a million blogs, and finally decided to just take a course. That was probably the best decision of my crafty career.

I created the Silhouette Quick Start with the hope that I can save others from the ordeal that I went through. So, please, even if you decide that this isn't the course for you, find a knowledgeable instructor and skip surfing the web for information.

Happy Crafting!

Now that I've introduced myself...

Let me introduce The Silhouette Quick Start a little better. This is a mini course to get you moving in the right direction. It is by no means meant to make you an expert.

This course was designed with the purpose of NOT overwhelming newcomers.

With that being said, it does contain a good amount of information about the machines and the software, broken down into easy to digest bits. You'll learn:

  • Proper blade installation
  • Mat alignment
  • Load and Unload
  • Drawing Shapes
  • Adding Text
  • Changing Fonts and colors
  • Merging images onto the Design Mat
  • Trace Feature
  • Sizing Images
  • Choosing materials in the Send Panel
  • Adjusting the Cut Settings
  • Weeding
  • Application
In short, it's a good overview of the 3 most popular materials and an insight to how the software works. There's always more to learn, but this is definitely a great starting point.

Frequently asked questions

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

How do I access my course?

Once you have purchased Silhouette Quick start, it will automatically show up on your learning dashboard.
You will be able to view the videos any time you log into Silhouette Success. I suggest bookmarking the site for easiest access.

If you decide to purchase other courses down the road, all of your content will be organized on your own dashboard so that you can find it quickly.

Is there a support team in place to answer questions?

Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you to join the Facebook group to get answers to any questions quickly. It's a private group that is closely monitored, ensuring a great learning environment. It's also an awesome place to shout "I DID IT!!!" Those are my favorite posts.

Do I have to have a heat press to finish the HTV project?

Nope! You can use any household iron to start. In fact, I recommend going that route until you know whether or not you enjoy the process.

Is there a time limit for completing the course?

Again, this is a no. The course can be completed in about 3 hours, but once you purchase, it will always be available to you on your dashboard. Finish at your own pace, and come back to review as often as you like. My goal is to make your crafting time as relaxing as possible, even when you're learning new things.

The learning part really can be fun.

Finding a course with the right information (like this one) is a game changer for anyone struggling to learn the Silhouette software. This is meant to be a hobby, a time for relaxing and getting away from the craziness. Take back your "me" time and start doing this the easy way. With just 3 short tutorials, you could be successfully cutting cardstock, vinyl, and HTV, along with doing basic designs with the software.

What's the catch??

The catch is that this price will only last until 4/1/22. This is the launch price and exclusive to the people that snag it in the first 2 weeks of the release. So, yes... it is quick, easy, and cheap. You literally could not ask for more. Sign up, join me on this journey, and let's get to crafting! See you inside!!
